Holiday- "Holly"
Aroostook County's First Courthouse Facility Dog
Owned by: District Attorney Todd Collins
Professionally Trained: Tyler Jones with Purpose Pups, LLC

Our mission for Northern Woods Labs has always been to produce quality puppies and give back to our communities. I joined the Empowered Breeder co-op and learned as much as I could about what made a great service dog, what traits were unfavorable, how to properly evaluate puppies for these positions. I spent days researching non-profit organizations around the country to find one that resonated with me; I even reached out to Make a Wish to see if I could make a wish come true. But then Tyler shared his news that he would be working with the State of Maine and Aroostook County's District Attorney to implement Aroostook's first courthouse facility dog. How perfect is this, I thought! Not only finding the perfect opportunity to donate to but to see the return in my own community!
After evaluating all puppies, it was decided that Holiday was the perfect match. She is a brilliant yellow dudley lab from our Timber x Clyde pair. She demonstrated a brave demeanor with a medium energy level, a strong desire to work and an excellent human focus. Even more important, she exhibited the emotional stress tolerance needed for this type of work.
Holly has been enrolled in formal weekly trainings with Head Trainer, Tyler Jones, of Purpose Pups, LLC. Her training will continue for the next two years before she is ready to be fully performing. She will work in the Aroostook County courthouses as an emotional support to children and victims of violent crimes. We are so excited to be partner with the Tyler and the District Attorney on this project and can't wait to see the impact Holly has on our community! Watch Holiday's news debut here:
